Cifrando el movimiento: evaluación diagnóstica y clasificación de errores en cinemática en el preuniversitario de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí

La comprensión de la cinemática en estudiantes que ingresan a la educación superior presenta dificultades persistentes asociadas a vacíos conceptuales arrastradas desde el bachillerato. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo de alcance descriptivo-correlacional con el objetivo de diseñar evaluaciones diagnósticas para evaluar los errores conceptuales y procedimentales de los estudiantes en la comprensión y resolución de problemas de cinemática, en el que se aplicó una prueba diagnóstica de opción múltiple de 25 ítems a 346 estudiantes del preuniversitario de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí (periodo 2026-S1) y una encuesta de percepción complementaria (n = 150). El bloque de menor desempeño no fue la cinemática (74.3% de aciertos) sino los vectores (65.7%); ambos se asociaron fuertemente (r = 0.73, p < .001) y los errores se concentraron sistemáticamente en distractores específicos (39-61% por ítem). El 62.5% de los estudiantes identificó los vectores como su principal debilidad. Los errores en cinemática se explican en gran medida por vacíos previos en vectores y por mecanismos procedimentales concretos, como el escaso dominio de los modos grados/radianes de la calculadora (89%) y la conversión inconsistente de unidades (49%). Los resultados fundamentan el diseño de una herramienta diagnóstica mejorada, sujeta a validación por juicio de docentes profesionales, como línea de investigación futura.
