Abstract

July 26 1953, when the assault to the barracks Moncada from Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel fromBayamotook place, a new stage of fight for the Cuban people begins for its definitive independence. Manifestations, student’s fights, stroke workers, and this worked, in fact, has as purpose to mean the impact in people of these events, in the scenario of the city of Santiago from Cuba, in a special way in the young Frank País García. It’s also carried out an analysis of the paper of Santiago’s press around these events.
