The Commentary: a new experience for to study and to promote the Cuban documentary

Abstract

This paper has as objective to argue the singularity of the segment El Comentario, broadcast on the television show En la Mirada, audiovisual proposal as a result of the collaboration of this entity with the Universidad de Oriente. For the development of the same, one methods were used like, the analysis and synthesis, the scientific observation and the interview. Intended for a specialized audience, which needed to identify television traditions and essences identity, the comment was able to cause controversy and debate, but above all, allowed the encounter with a cinema which is found from no common prospects under the prism of national television. As a result, we could verify the power of the local medias for to spread and to promote the documentary films, singular expression of the contemporary audiovisual world.
