Abstract
To get a better understanding of some episodes of the History of Cuba, it is necessary to pay attention to the different approaches and appreciations of foreign personalities that lived in Cuba and were linked to some political activity. Such is the case of the outstanding intellectual of the Dominican Republic Juan Bosch who reflected in his works the behavior of the sociopolitical movements of the Caribbean area, and of Cuba in particular. The work has as objective: To support the overview of Juan Bosch about the events that took place on July 26th, 1953 in
Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, the historical context in which they were developed before and after 1953. The study is based fundamentally on the theoretical and empirical methods, including the inductive-deductive, historical-logical, the analysis-synthesis implemented in the bibliographical revision and the writings published by Juan Bosch. This paper seeks to enrich and systematize the knowledge, not treated yet in this way, in the texts for developing the teaching-learning process of
the Cuban History.
