Challenges of the Cuban Universities in the attention to Gender Violence

Abstract

Gender-based violence in general, and particularly gender-based violence against women, as one of its most frequent expressions, constitutes a global social problem, which has remained invisible and silenced for many years due to the very social dynamics that have favored its perpetuation in its multiple contexts. Cuba, like the world, is not exempt from this phenomenon. It is a manifestation that is present in any of the areas of daily life, including work and school. On this occasion, reference has been made to Cuban universities, places that are also scenes of these demonstrations. Given the importance of the subject, the objective of this work is to propose tools that allow the institutional strengthening of care and prevention of this type of violence in university centers, since it is essential to carry out prevention work through the training of new generations. in an attitude of rejection towards it. All this with the aim of contributing to the achievement of an inclusive education with a gender approach.
