No. 168 (2026)
In memory of Dr. Enrique Marañón Reyes (1940–2026), Rector of Rectors of the University of Oriente. This issue of the journal Santiago is dedicated as a tribute to a man who devoted more than half a century to teaching, research, and university administration. His leadership shaped generations of students and professors, and his vision solidified the University of Oriente as a national and international benchmark. In these pages, the academic community of Santiago de Cuba honors his example of scientific rigor, humanist vocation, and commitment to higher education. May this issue be a testament of gratitude and remembrance, and may his name remain a beacon of excellence and dignity in the history of our university and Cuban culture.
