Rural Coastal Municipality Guamá: Fertility and Gender

Abstract

The variable fertility is analyzed through the level and the structure. Inside the groups of women in reproductive age is deepened in the one of smaller than 20 years (adolescent fertility) and in the one of 20 to 24 years; in turn, subgroups of ages that allows to understand with more detail the fecundity settle down. Data coming from Demographic Annuals and the Database of Certificates of Births of the county were used Santiago from Cuba, in the period understood among the year 2003 and the 2012. The investigation constitutes a specific contribution in the process of strategic planning and taking of decisions, because he/she offers a characterization of the behavior experienced by the fertility, that which is recommended to value when to design and to apply political public or family in the municipality Guamá. Also, aspects linked to the gender are approached synthetically.
