Abstract

The present work aims to study communicative competence in the attitudes of the Santiago speakers in relation to the use of the second person pronouns, you and you. From the use of qualitative and quantitative methods in the research it was possible to describe and explain the use of the pronominal system in the sample selected residents and workers from Santiago who were surveyed to collect the linguistic corpus that was later verified through scientific observation and Triangulation of data with other population nuclei of the city. The result obtained is linked to the variation in the power / solidarity pair present in human communication, which has a subjective and relative character, and which always has a close contact with social reality.Ver traducción original
