The confrontation to the banditry in Guantánamo (1959-1969)

The research demonstrated the complexity of the fight against banditry in the Guantánamo region from the formation of the Comprehensive Confrontation System to its total annihilation. The conditions in this region between 1959 and 1969 were analyzed as one of the scenarios of the fight against banditry in Cuba. The contribution of the Comprehensive Confrontation System to the defeat and annihilation of banditry and counterrevolution in Guantánamo was explained. Theoretical methods such as analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, and historical-logical approaches were used, as well as empirical methods of document analysis and discourse analysis. The hermeneutic method was also used to understand the confrontation and annihilation of banditry and counterrevolution in the bibliography consulted. This analysis provides theoretical frameworks for the theoretical reconstruction of this process in Cuba as an expression of the class struggle.
