Abstract

School bullying is a global problem affecting students' socioemotional health. This systematic review evaluated the evidence on the impact of gamification on reducing school bullying. Following the PRISMA 2020 statement, the Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, SciELO, and Dialnet databases were consulted for the period 2010-2025. A total of 606 records were identified, of which 33 studies met the inclusion criteria. The results, synthesized in tables and a PRISMA flow diagram, indicate that gamification significantly improves empathy (Cohen's d = 0.72 on average), reduces aggressive behaviors (34% reduction in reported incidents), and improves the school climate. Effectiveness depends on pedagogical design, teacher training, and a minimum duration of 12 weeks. It is concluded that gamification is a viable strategy, but it requires systematic and contextualized implementation.
