Cognitive Independence in Students of Medicine from Santiago of Cuba (2013 - 2014)

Abstract

In the process of teaching learning in the superior education exist deficiencies that attempt the development of the cognitive independence of the students, for what we intended to characterize the cognitive independence of the students that you/they study  from the first one to the fifth year in the Ability No.1 of Medicine Santiago from Cuba in the course 2013-2014. He/she was carried out a descriptive and traverse study, the universe it was constituted by the total of 75 students from the
first one to the  fifth year of medicine. The variables were evaluated: way in that is perceived the professor, indicators of cognitive independence, levels of cognitive independence that the students are able regularly to reach and form of organization of the teaching where the students experience that they reach cognitive independence. It is evidenced that in the different variables the students of the basic cycle are those that reach less cognitive independence, being outstanding the influence in the form of organization of the teaching.
