Design of a syntheticindex of local economicdevelopmentfortheProvince of Alto Magdalena

The objective of this paper is to determine a synthetic index of local economic development that allows an integral evaluation of economic development in the municipalities of the Upper Magdalena Region, for which the use of a mixed research methodology is proposed, based on the use of multivariable statistics techniques for there diction of a set of rigorously selected indicators to a single index. To extend the analysis, the results of the index are compared with the heir archival conglomerates classification technique and an evaluation is carried out using regional analysis techniques. The practical application of this work was done taking into account the information of the municipalities of the Upper Magdalena Region in the period 2011-2015. The article shows the results of the integrals of the municipalities of the Upper Magdalena Province based on the syntheticindex of local economic development.References
