Right to identity. Its endorsement in the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba

Abstract

dentity constitutes a right related to the free development of the personality. The objective: promote in the teachers of Youth and Adult Education in the municipality of Pinar del Río, through a system of theoretical and methodological workshops, the development in their students of identity as a constitutional right that transcends the social-community environment, culture and society. The methods used respond to the mixed approach, those of a theoretical level: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, systemic-structural and those of an empirical level: those of qualitative research: participant observation, discussion through focus groups and group interview. The results correspond to the diagnostic study that showed as the main limitation the existence of discriminatory and foreign manifestations far from the idiosyncrasy, customs and culture of Cubans and as a cause, the contents of the programs that allow promoting the study of identity as a right are wasted constitutional.
