Food Sovereignty a Community alternative in the Boniato Popular Council

Abstract

The work is circumscribed in the thematic line of integrated community work, a work method that is currently promoted by the organs of popular power to transform the most pressing problems of the neighborhood that constitutes one of the dimensions of National Security. The objective of the work is to offer a system of actions that favors the work and educational influence of the family and community factors to promote food sovereignty, the self-sufficiency of the neighborhood and its impact on vulnerable families in the context of a Popular Council. It extends the social mission that the neighborhood has in conditions of the new normality that emerged from the COVID 2019 pandemic. Part of the experience acquired by the author as President of a Popular Council and its articulation with the Universidad de Oriente in training and Advice on the developed strategy.
