Factores asociados a la procrastinación académica y el cumplimiento del trabajo autónomo en estudiantes de la Nivelación de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí (UTM)

En la educación universitaria virtual, el trabajo autónomo constituye un componente esencial para desarrollar autorregulación, gestión del tiempo y trabajo colaborativo siendo afectado por la procrastinación académica, afectando el rendimiento y la permanencia estudiantil. El objetivo fue analizar los factores asociados a la procrastinación académica y su relación con el cumplimiento del trabajo autónomo estudiantes de Nivelación de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Se adoptó un enfoque mixto con un diseño no experimental con una muestra de 331 estudiantes. La prueba de Spearman evidenció un p< 0,001, donde la procrastinación académica se relaciona positivamente con las distracciones tecnológicas y negativamente con la planificación, la organización y la coordinación grupal, con diferencias entre áreas de conocimiento y tamaños de efecto pequeños. Se concluye que fortalecer la autorregulación, la planificación y la comunicación grupal resulta clave para favorecer el cumplimiento oportuno del trabajo autónomo en entornos virtuales.
