Science and conscience. A unprecedented experience in the social worker training new type from the Universidad de Oriente

Abstract

This work approaches the experiences of their authors in the acting as teachers at the school of Formation of Workers, from the period 2000 to 2007, these programs annexed to the universities. This program constitutes a sample of the realization of the emblem "Ciencia Conciencia" of the heroic and hardened University of Oriente. It was a humanist purpose, rooted in our tradition that the participation of professors and students of the social sciences and the university community in general who made it reality with responsibility, conscious that it gave execution to one of the demands of the Cuban Social project  from their social responsibility. In this work stands out the protagonist list that historically has carried out the Universities in the formation of the professionals of superior level. The program of Formation of Social Workers constituted a sample of the renovating process and of expansion of the services and it  demonstrated that it is possible to transform the individual, to achieve the integral formation of the students, in a short period of time, if it is worked with an educational appropriate system of influences that sustains the educational work.
