Legal Translation in the Academic Context: Translation and Revision of University Partnership Agreements (English-Spanish)

Nowadays, the training of specialized translators is a global social need due to the growing demand of legal documents worldwide. Translation of legal documents in the academic context in the university collaboration framework is not an exception; this matter is very interesting and certainly, not greatly studied. A university partnership agreement is the most useful legal instrument used by universities to perform academic projects and increase its relevance, reach and visibility worldwide; that is why is important to translate and revise these documents with the efficiency and liability that they required. Based on this, this article aims at analyzing the translation context that rules the translation of university partnership agreements, and assessing the main aspects that takes place during the translation revision process.
