Abstract

Risk assessment is a fundamental element of risk management, considered a critical aspect of governance. Risk management involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks. This article aims to evaluate the strategies and models applied to risk management in public sector governance. To this end, a systematic literature review was conducted, following the guidelines of the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) declaration. The PRISMA methodology provided a structured framework for conducting systematic reviews that ensure transparency, reproducibility, and scientific rigor. The studies reviewed correspond to the last five years, using databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, among others. Several effective strategies and models applied in various contexts were identified. It is concluded that the tax burden and its approach are crucial factors in governance.
