Bioclimatic architecture in Mexico
Keywords:
Bioclimatic architecture, habitability, vernacular architecture, strategy, globalizationAbstract
This article analyzes strategies proposed by various theorists to address thermal comfort within a building's architectural spaces by leveraging the site's climatic and topographical conditions. The optimization of natural resources is the guiding principle of bioclimatic architecture, and the implementation of these strategies results in a better quality of life for individuals and societies. Currently, the problems generated by the maximization of natural resources for construction make us architects responsible for raising awareness and generating environmentally friendly projects. We should mention that currently in Mexico, there is a lack of regulatory enforcement regarding the optimization of natural resources in construction. Therefore, this article discusses these bioclimatic strategies and the actors involved in bioclimatic architecture in Mexico
