Estudio bibliométrico sobre los artículos de tipo lingüístico en la revista científica Santiago (2006-2025)

Abstract

Since the second half of the 19th century, bibliometrics has provided a clearer understanding of the development of any scientific field. This study aims to characterize, through a bibliometric analysis, the linguistic articles published in the scientific journal Santiago during the period 2006–2025, in order to determine their production trends, impact, and main contributions to the field of linguistics in Cuba. The methods employed were historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, and bibliometric as the central method for the quantitative analysis of scientific output. The results show that the most productive year was 2017, and a significant number of authors with a recurrent impact on the journal were identified, with their collaborations concentrated on articles on related topics. The H-index calculated for the linguistic production analyzed was 7. The research evidences the growing interest in linguistic studies in the journal Santiago and lays the groundwork for future analyses in this line.
