Minimal historiography of the dutch conquest of Luanda 1641-1648

The Dutch conquest of Luanda (1641-1648) was studied by chroniclers and historians since 16th century. In the next centuries, the conflict has been studied through different topics, specially her economic character. The role of the West Indies Dutch Company was always emphasized in these studies. But the participation of the native population in the Portuguese – Dutch war had not been researched with the same attention. Only the actions of Queen Nzinga Mbandi have been reviewed. Oral tradition doesn’t give information in the matter.
