Social contradictions in distribution management in retail

Abstract

Business management and continuous improvement of the quality of services in retail are an essential element for the successful development of this activity; Being one of the fastest growing activities worldwide, from an economic and social point of view, it contributes to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), has an inflationary incidence, generates employment and causes excessive distribution costs. This research is carried out within the framework of updating the Cuban economic model, the 2020-2030 development agenda and the guidelines of the VI and VII party congresses. The Cadena de Tiendas Caribe, UEB División Oriente-Sur, Santiago de Cuba has been presenting problems related to the management of commercial distribution that slow down its development and performance, based on the current demands of Cuban society. To face this situation, it is proposed to analyze the social problems that affect distribution management in retail.
