Diagnosis and prospections of the gender and humanities area of the Center of University Higher Studies (CESU

Abstract

The Humanities and Gender Area of ​​the CESU constitutes the first and most important experience of implementing the gender theory in postgraduate study and research plans at the UMSS. The objective of this work is to carry out a diagnosis on it, and analyze its results, repercussions and prospects based on SDG 4 and SDG5. As a methodology for data collection we used the documentary method to review the objectives of the study programs and we made interviews directed at people responsible for implementing the gender approach in the institution. The achievements obtained from their commitment to the principles and lines of action of Sustainable Development with a Gender Approach and the Millennium Goals in postgraduate training, research and social extension are made visible, as well as the obstacles they face the theme.
