The sustainable development goals drive the international community to solve pressing problems related to health, education, gender equality, poverty, work, environmental protection and guarantee that communities enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.Inequitable access to resources and opportunities, both work and academic, has affected the development of generations of women and has affected the development of society in general. In Colombia, gender inequality is not a homogeneous phenomenon, it is rather a set of interrelated problems that range from the most extreme to the least perceptible forms. How can the Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas contribute to solving these challenges that prevent real and effective equality from being achieved? We have opted for two strategies: the empowerment of women who participate in the academy and the training of our students in human rights, gender equality, and routes of attention to gender violence.
