Coexistence program to strengthen the socioemotional climate in universities students of the Initial Bilingual Education

Abstract

Program "Learning to know oneself" to strengthen the social emotional climate of the students of the Professional Career of Initial Bilingual Education of the National Intercultural University of the Amazon, addresses the social emotional climate of students due to influential facts in the years 2010 to 2015, where there were events that caused the loss of an academic semester that could not be recovered, having as a consequence that those affected were the students, hostilities between students could be perceived, there was no trust between students and teachers with concern of being subject to reprisals. The effectiveness of the program "Learning to know oneself" is demonstrated, the type of study is Experimental. The application of the program to the students was carried out with an intentional sample of 108 students. The quasi-experimental design and the socio-emotional climate scale developed by Páez, Ruiz and collaborators were used. The techniques used were expositions, socialized discussion, group dynamics, workshops, plenary sessions, participation in the classroom. The results show that the “Learning to know oneself” program significantly strengthens the students' social emotional climate.
