Abstract

In this paper the contribution of Frank País García addressed during the first half of 1957, to the construction of hegemonic leadership of the July 26 Movement in the opposition camp to the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. If in July 1957 the Movement had become the most powerful, the only insurgent organization with a guerrilla front and belligerent presence throughout the country, and the most militant and political influence in the anti-Batista lands, was due, in a considerable magnitude, the revolutionary activity of the young leader. Its policy to conduct relations with other sectors such that  contribute to strengthening the dominance of July 26 skill was vital in achieving that purpose.
