Academic patriarchalism is reproduced in the daily life of the Universities
Keywords:
Academic patriarchalism, symbolic violence, denial of the feminine, labor abuse, social invisibility.Abstract
Academic patriarchal practices have been strengthening over the years, instead of reducing symbolic and workplace violence they have increased. The emotional wound on the dignity of academics is strong. Not only has our epistemic self-esteem been depredated, but the extractivist culture of female knowledge is increasingly aggressive. Both the rights perspective and the differential perspective are blurred in practices of denial of the value of the feminine. The limit for abuse is diluted. Although the complaint of sexual harassment is currently being exhibited, workplace harassment is embodied in the feminine with the overload of intermediate operational functions serving as assistants, secretaries, clerks of minutes. It is a common place to speak of the management of authoritarian power copied from patriarchal power and how many women appropriate its repetition, however, the enthronement of that matrix of thought has become a mentality.
