The English teaching-learning process in language academies in Equator: the attention to ethnic multi-intercultural diversity

Abstract

At present in the Republic of Equator man’s education aims at his formation from an integral view point in all spheres, to achieve a widen culture that may help him to face the different problems of the society where he lives and of the world that surrounds him. That’s why the English language is the one taught in public and private educative institutions as the principal foreign language. That is why the characterization of the teaching  learning  process  is a priority to improve its development. The present paper analyses from epistemological foundations the English teaching learning process in language academies during the last decades, highlighting the attention on the students’ ethnic multi-intercultural diversity. The use of theoretical methods, such as analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and historical-logical, has made possible the epistemic study of the English teaching learning process in the institutions of such concern.
