High Governance in Company Projects and Total Quality for Innovation

University governance, in this sense, indicates the designation of a strategic direction, project management, quality assurance, and innovation, all within a decision-making system. From this starting point, the study investigates the association between strong governance, business projects, total quality management in terms of ISO best practices, and the institutional capacity for innovation and development, with particular emphasis on the field of biotechnology. A non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational quantitative approach is used. A stratified random probability sample of 140 participants, comprising 220 institutional actors from the project population, is selected with a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. Data is collected using a 32-item Likert-type questionnaire across four dimensions. The results reveal high scores for governance (M=3.88), business projects (M=3.73), ISO standards (M=4.00), and innovation (M=3.65). They also demonstrate that there are relationships between the factors, reaching values of ρ=.754 and τ-b=.559 (p<.001). The study concludes that the integration of governance, quality, projects, and institutional transfer has significant effects on the institutional capacity to innovate in the field of university education.
