Implementation of ICT to strengthen basic skills in the area of mathematics

Abstract

In the current information and knowledge society, the development of our daily activities is unthinkable without the support of the tools that technology gives us; Education is not exempt from this reality, it is increasingly common to observe in classrooms the use of ICT tools that are implemented by teachers to boost the teaching-learning process and thus generate a more active and participatory student in its own learning process, developing a critical reflexive thinking that guarantees meaningful learning. This work represents a proposal for the design and implementation of an online course in mathematics education that contributes to acquire or develop the eight basic competences in the area of ​​mathematics such as: Thinking and reasoning; To argue; Communicate; To model; Pose and solve problems; Represent; Use symbolic, formal and technical language and operations and finally the use of ICT tools and resources.
