Abstract

The virtual educational community "Educar Ecuador" is an initiative of the Ministry of Education for the integration of technologies in education. About its impact, there are multiple studies, but at the macro level, which has limited data on its effects by areas and subjects. On this basis, a transversal study (2017-2018) was developed to analyze the statistical correlation between the implementation of the educational community and the academic performance in the mathematics subject. The sample was 150 students of Accounting and Systems Administration. A survey was applied, and for the analyses it was decided to apply linear regressions. The simple regression analyses between the performance and the factors associated with the use of ICT, in the last two school years, show that the incidence variable of face-to-face classes with the use of technologies within the classroom, had a high impact on the final academic performance.
